CINCINNATI, OH, UNITED STATES, April 2, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- After nearly a decade pursuing success in the entertainment industry, actor and director Cortez Mooney returns to his hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio, for an exclusive screening of his latest SAG-AFTRA comedy series, Can’t Knock The Hustle Part 2, at the Cinemark in Oakley.

A Cincinnati native, Mooney left the city in 2018 to pursue a professional acting career. He quickly gained momentum, appearing in projects such as On the Ropes alongside boxing star Ryan Garcia, and collaborating on digital content with legendary streetball icon and actor The Professor.

By 2019, Mooney had established himself in the industry, landing a co-star role on the hit FX series Dave. Building on that success, he transitioned into filmmaking in 2020, making his directorial debut with A Way Out, which later expanded into a three-part series now available on Amazon Prime Video.

Inspired by the wealth of comedic talent in his hometown, Mooney returned to Cincinnati with a mission to spotlight local artists. In 2024, he partnered with Busy 1 Radio CEO Barry Cobb and comedian Carlton Brown to produce Can’t Knock The Hustle Part 1, which earned placement on Amazon Prime’s new release wall alongside major titles of the year.

Now, Mooney builds on that success with Can’t Knock The Hustle Part 2, featuring an expanded lineup of comedic talent including Kevin Brown Jr. and Jammie D. Jackson. Early reactions highlight standout performances from comedians William Brooks and Whitney McDunn, who are already being praised for delivering unforgettable comedic moments.
