Linx CEO says AI Will Automate Global Employment, but Won’t Replace Accountability

AI is changing how companies build global teams, and Linx is leading the shift.

Linx Founder & CEO Rasagna Holt says the next gen of global workforce platforms will combine AI-driven automation with local expertise and human accountability.

PHILADELPHIA,, PA, UNITED STATES, September 4, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- As artificial intelligence reshapes how companies hire and manage global teams, Rasagna Holt, Founder and CEO of Linx, believes the Employer of Record (EOR) industry is approaching a fundamental shift: much of the administrative work behind global employment will be automated, but accountability for getting employment right will remain firmly human.

AI is going to remove an enormous amount of administrative work from global employment, and it should,” said Holt. “Too much international HR still involves people moving information between systems, looking up policies, checking requirements, updating systems and answering repetitive questions. There is no reason much of that workflow shouldn’t be automated.”

AI can increasingly support contract generation, payroll anomaly detection, compliance monitoring, onboarding, benefits inquiries, workforce analytics, compensation benchmarking and talent acquisition.

But Holt argues that automating work is fundamentally different from automating responsibility.

“AI can automate compliance work. It cannot eliminate compliance accountability.”

“When an employee needs to be terminated in Brazil, somebody still needs to understand Brazilian employment law. When payroll is wrong, somebody must fix it. When legislation changes, somebody remains accountable,” Holt said. “The future isn’t AI replacing global employment expertise. It’s AI speed combined with local expertise and human accountability.”

THE EOR MARKET IS MATURING
Holt believes this shift is occurring as the broader EOR market enters a new phase. For years, providers competed heavily on the number of countries they could cover. As global employment infrastructure matures, however, country coverage is increasingly becoming a baseline capability rather than the primary differentiator.

“If five providers can legally employ your candidate in India, the important question isn’t which company has the largest map,” Holt said. “It’s who can actually help you succeed in India.”

As compliant employment contracts, international payroll, onboarding, benefits administration and other transactional services become increasingly standardized and automated, Holt expects value to move toward the intelligence surrounding global workforce decisions — where to hire, what talent should cost, which employment structure makes sense, and when a workforce strategy should change.

FROM GLOBAL EMPLOYMENT TO GLOBAL WORKFORCE INTELLIGENCE
Holt describes the next stage of the industry as “global workforce intelligence.” Rather than simply executing a company’s decision to hire in a particular country, Holt expects the next generation of workforce platforms to help companies make the decision itself — analyzing talent availability, compensation, hiring velocity, employment costs and workforce requirements across markets to determine where to build teams and which employment model makes the most sense.

“That’s much more powerful than ‘select country, add employee,’” Holt said. “I believe that’s where AI and global employment infrastructure ultimately converge.”

For Linx, that means evolving beyond the traditional definition of an Employer of Record. The company’s vision is to build a global workforce platform that helps organizations answer a broader set of questions: Who should we hire? Where should we hire? What should it cost? How should we employ them? And when should that model change?

“Global employment shouldn’t begin with a country map,” Holt said. “It should begin with the workforce decision.”

AI CHANGES THE ROLE OF THE EOR — NOT THE NEED FOR ONE
Holt believes AI will ultimately make EOR providers more efficient while simultaneously raising customer expectations. Administrative processes that once required significant manual intervention will increasingly happen automatically. Routine questions will be answered instantly. Payroll exceptions can be identified before payroll runs. Regulatory changes can be surfaced as they occur. Workforce data can be analyzed across countries rather than maintained in disconnected systems.

But the more automation enters the process, Holt argues, the more important accountability becomes.

“When everything works, automation is incredibly powerful,” Holt said. “The real test of a global employment partner is what happens when something doesn’t work — when there is a payroll problem, a difficult termination, a regulatory issue or an employee situation that doesn’t fit neatly into a workflow.”

For that reason, Holt does not see the future of global employment as a choice between technology and people.

“The winners will combine both,” Holt said. “AI should make global employment faster, easier and more intelligent. Human expertise should make sure it is right.”
